Help Keep Tummies Filled This Summer

Volunteers are needed at Keegan Kitchen to help produce meals for the Kids Cafe program.

During the summer months children lose access to breakfast and lunch served in schools which may be their only source of food for the day.  Last summer, 271,533 meals were served to children at 87 sites across the Houston Food Bank service area. We are looking forward to making an even bigger impact in our community this summer and need your assistance to make it a success.

Volunteers are needed in our new, state-of-the-art Keegan Kitchen to assist with meal prep work (i.e. slicing, cutting, stirring, etc.) and  packaging of hot meals for daily distribution of 5,000 meals per day to community locations where children gather. Shifts are avaiable for volunteers (ages 16 and older) between 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Register online or contact Rocio Rubio for more information.
