See the results from the Houston Food Bank's 2nd Annual Hunger Game!

The Houston Food Bank’s Hunger Game is a two-week competition in which groups of all sizes compete against each other to fight hunger in our community. Groups compete to raise the most meals by donating time, food, and funds. This year the Hunger Game competition was held from July 22, 2016 to August 6, 2016.

Two awards were given. The Overall Award recognizes the group which generated the most meals. The Per Capita Award recognizes the group which generated the most meals per group member.

The 33 participating teams raised $18,021, collected 7,526 pounds of food and donated 2,443 volunteer hours (82 volunteer shifts), which generated the equivalent of 206,975 meals for our community. The victor for this year’s Hunger Game Overall Award is BMW of West Houston, who were able to raise 42,335 meals, and our Per Capita Award goes to Limitless who raised 3,713 meals.

In addition, we would also like to recognize the top teams for the 2016 Hunger Game:
