United Way THRIVE - May 2016

May is Mental Health Month: Let's talk about your Finances!

Mental health problems can result in over spending, inability or feeling overwhelmed in keeping track of your income and expenses, and in severe cases can result in someone else temporarily taking control of managing your money for a time. Likewise, if you’re struggling to manage your money, climb out of debt, pay your bills on time, save or pay for emergencies, you may find that these struggles begin to affect your mental health.

Being able to turn to a professional counselor and a financial coach for guidance and support, can be impactful for your mental health and your budget.

It’s difficult times like these that allow Family Houston’s THRIVE Connection program to team up their case manager with a licensed professional counselor, and a financial coach to provide a holistic model of wrap around services that address the financial and mental health needs of individuals and families.
