"Food, Glorious Food" From Theatre Under the Stars to Houston Food BankHOUSTON…Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is bringing Oliver!, one of the best-loved musicals of all time, to Houston from April 5-17, 2016. Just like Oliver, a runaway orphan and the namesake character of the show, many children in our city struggle with hunger, and TUTS is taking this opportunity to help fight hunger in Houston by partnering with the Houston Food Bank. 5-17, TUTS will be donating 20-percent of each ticket price to Houston Food
Bank when promo code HFB is used at purchase. For each $1 the
Houston Food Bank receives, we can provide three full meals to a hungry
neighbor in need! Almost in response to the main character’s famous request – “Please sir, I want some more” – TUTS is also giving Houstonians the opportunity to get ticket discounts when they donate to the food drive in the Hobby Center lobby. From April 5-17, theatre lovers will receive a voucher to get 50-percent off a ticket when they donate a grocery bag of nonperishable food items into the marked bins.
