The SNAP and Groceries To Go Program is a food distribution staffed by Houston Food Bank who can provide information and application assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, and other government programs. Partner agencies have volunteers help distribute produce that the Food Bank delivers as well.

With his wife at his side, Godby has worked diligently to ensure every monthly distribution and its services are well-promoted and well-attended by volunteers and neighbors in need of assistance. He has even been willing to go to other cities in Liberty County to make sure everyone in the county can benefit from the program. Thanks to his efforts, citizens in need in Liberty County are getting help.
