Volunteer Theme Nights

Who says you can't serve the community AND have fun?

The Houston Food Bank is now hosting two theme nights each month. Families wanting to volunteer with young children can come the first Friday evening of the month for Family Night. Kids as young as four are welcome to volunteer with a parent on Family Night for the evening shift.

The other Friday evening of the month will feature unique themes in addition to the 90 minute volunteer shift. Previous events include: vocal performance, self-defense class, and Black Heritage Month celebration with poets and musical performers. Some of the exciting themes in the works are a cooking demo and Hispanic Heritage celebration.
