Share Your Holidays Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in Sharing Your Holidays by volunteering with the Houston Food Bank, we have opportunities for everyone! 

Phone Bank (December 3-6 and 8)
Volunteers directly help a family in need by registering callers for a box of food with enough food to feed a family of four for 3-4 days.

Shifts are available 5:45 AM to 8:00 PM on December 3 - 6 and 12:15 PM to 5:00 PM on December 8.

Gift of Produce Pallet Build (December 9-10)
Volunteers will help sort, box and palletize produce for agency pick-ups. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift at least 20 pounds safely.

Shifts are available 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on December 9 - 10.

Agency Distribution of Produce (December 10-13)
Volunteers will work with HFB warehouse staff in the truck docking area, helping to load agency vehicles when they come to pick up the boxed and palletized produce. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift at least 20 pounds safely.

Shift are available 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM on December 10 - 13.

Holiday Box Distribution (December 15-20)
Volunteers will work with HFB warehouse staff in the truck docking area, helping to load agency vehicles when they come to pick up Holiday Boxes. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift at least 20 pounds safely.

Shifts are available 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on December 15 - 20.
