Outnumber Hunger
Now through January 31, 2015 online & at stores near you!
While the issue of hunger is an ever-present reality, Outnumber Hunger focuses on raising awareness specifically in the spring since this coincides with decreasing donations and volunteerism at food banks. Outnumber Hunger strives to make an impact in local communities when it is needed most, and you can help!
How does it work? When you purchase groceries, look for the Outnumber Hunger logo on participating General Mills products. Each item has a unique code that you can enter online at www.OutnumberHunger.com. When a code is redeemed, enter your zip code to direct the donation to your local food bank.
For every code consumers enter by January 31, 2015, General Mills will donate 55.5¢ to Feeding America - enough to secure 5 meals on behalf of local food banks. General Mills will also provide a report indicating the amount to be directed to each of their more than 200 member food banks.
Last year alone, nearly $1.8 million was donated to Feeding America and network food banks as a result of Outnumber Hunger.
