The SHSU Food Pantry operates out of the Episcopal Student Center and provides free food to students who are struggling to make ends meet. The food they distribute comes from individual and corporate donations. The council that runs the pantry is made up of students, under the direction of a student advisor.

This is the third such event to be held on the campus and the goal is to hold the event once a semester. More than 200 students attended the event and 16 applied for the SNAP program.
